平素より当宿をご利用いただきまして、ありがとうございます。

新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大を受け、当宿では３月より営業を自粛してまいりました。緊急事態宣言が解除され、政府からの自粛要請があった都道府県境をまたぐ移動も６月19日に全面解除されたほか、東京都においても休業要請が解かれ、当宿と提携先であるシリウスネイチャーツアーズさんにおいても７月１日より営業再開を予定しておりました。

しかしながら、都内での感染者が著しく増加していることから、シリウスさんとも協議しました結果、７月10日(金)まで、再度休業を延長させていただくことといたしました（こちらも状況によっては更に延長する可能性もあります）。

私自身、この結論を出すのにかなり悩みました。私は御蔵島のことが大好きです。こんなに美しい場所があるのかと、暮らし始めて10年経った今でもハッと気付かされることがあります。だからこそ、多くのお客様に来ていただいて、御蔵島を楽しんでいただきたいと常に思っています。しかしながら今は両手を広げて声を大にして「ようこそ！」とお迎えできる状況ではないのです。

御蔵島は人口300人のとても小さな島です。当宿や商店、そしてドルフィンスイムに携わるスタッフの家族・周囲にも介護施設や保育園で働く人たち、家に要介護の家族がいる人たちがいます。どこで誰が誰と接触しているか分からないほど、私たちの暮らすコミュニティはとても小さく密なのです。

また、ご存知の方も多いと思いますが、５月には御蔵島で新型コロナウイルスの感染者が出ました。そして、島には診療所が一つあるのみです。感染者が一人でも出れば島内に緊張が走ります。島民の多くはお年寄りか子どもたちです。

だからこそ、私たちは安心安全な状態で、胸を張って「ようこそ」と言えるまで、営業を自粛したいと考えています。どうかご理解いただけると幸いです。

（この決定は当方のものです。御蔵島では７月１日より観光目的の来島自粛を緩和しております。また当宿もお仕事のお客様に関してはご予約を受け付けております。）

We were supposed to reopen the guesthouse and restart dolphin swimming tours on July 1st. However, we’ve decided to postpone our service closing until July 10th (it would be re-extended) because the number of Coronavirus infected people are increasing especially in Tokyo.

It’s really hard for me to make this decision because I know many people long to visit our island and swim with dolphins. I’ve lived here for 10 years, and I sometimes realize what a beautiful place it is even now. Therefore, I want many people to come here to experience it; however, I cannot recommend you to come here right now.

Only 300 people live in this island, and some of our staffs’ family members work for children and elderly people. Our community is really small, so all of us have possibility to have contacts with any people are here.

Again, the health and well-being of our guests and staff and people in this small island will always be our number one priority. I really appreciate your understanding.
